Happy Birthday Daughter
This birthday brings back so many memories of you growing up.
I hope that I have made it easier for you
to accept the challenges that await.
I trust that in your memory I've been a good example, and for any time that I wasn't, I hope you learned what not to do.
I hope that some of the things I have said made sense and
are worth remembering.
And, I hope you'll forgive me for the things I may have said in haste.....
Always remember, Daughter, that I am here for you, just as I have been all these years.
Your smile lit up my
world when you were born, and it still does now.
We have done so much growing up together.
You have
taught me more that you'll ever know, opened doors I would never have looked through, and I want to thank you.
Now I must learn to let go, to trust you to take care of yourself.
If you can love yourself as much as
I have loved you, and accept yourself as the wonderful, unique person that you are,
.....Then I can step aside
in peace knowing that you are in good hands......your own.
